Notice in regards to current COVID-19 travel restrictions

In light of the ongoing travel restrictions and border closures, Curtin and our branch campuses will be suspending our exchange program for Semester 2 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

Curtin University offers a range of Study Abroad and Student Exchange opportunities. If you are an international student who would like to study at Curtin University in Perth for one or two semesters, we’ve got some great ways for you to broaden your horizons, explore a new culture and expand your personal and professional networks.


Which program is right for you?

There are three categories for applying to study at Curtin for up to 12 months: Study Abroad, Student Exchange and Service Abroad. These programs give you the opportunity to undertake studies in Australia while furthering your course.

Study Abroad 

If your university or college does not have a formal student exchange agreement with Curtin, you can apply to Curtin University as a Study Abroad student. On this program you pay your tuition fees directly to Curtin University.

Student Exchange

If your university has a formal student exchange agreement with Curtin, you can apply to study at Curtin through the Student Exchange program. During your exchange, you continue to pay your tuition fees to your home university.

Service Abroad

The Service Abroad program at Curtin gives you extra opportunities to engage with the community while you are studying abroad. You can tailor your service abroad experience to suit your future career aspirations by creating a personalised program in collaboration with your home institution and Curtin.

At Curtin, there are excellent support services to assist you with accommodation, health and other concerns, and a Mentor program to help you to settle in.
