Important Pre-Visa Assessment
Students from Assessment Level 3 and 4 countries will be required to undergo Pre-Visa Assessment (PVA) before accepting their offer or paying their tuition fees. These students will also need to lodge evidence of the appropriate International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score in order for a student visa to be processed.
Before accepting an offer or paying tuition fees, students should check with the nearest Australian High Commission/Embassy or the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to find out which Assessment Level their country (according to the passport they hold) falls into, as they may need to undergo PVA. You can also determine your Assessment Level by consulting the DIAC Assessment Levels flyer.
Students will be notified by the Australian High Commission/Embassy as to whether their application for a student (Temporary) visa to Australia has been successful. Once students have received notification that their PVA has been successful, they should then complete and submit the following to the International Office:
- The Acceptance of Offer and PVA letter
- The indicative tuition fees and OSHC.
Upon receipt of the above, the International Office will issue the electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) document. The eCoE should then be used for the purpose of student visa application.
