Within an Hour
Within an hour’s drive of Perth you will find a great range of activities and sights to keep you entertained. North of Perth you will find Hillarys Boat Harbour – a waterside village with the Aquarium of Western Australia, shops and restaurants serving great fish and chips. Head east towards Perth’s hills to discover where the city meets the bush. Small towns with great cafés, galleries and wineries are spread along winding bush roads. You may even spot a kangaroo or two. Catch a ferry over to Rottnest, a small island 19 kilometres off the coast of Perth. You can swim, scuba dive, fish and go for a leisurely bike ride while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The island is home to the Quokka, a small marsupial unique to the island as well as a large variety of birds and marine life.
