Packing Guide
What To Bring
- Your Letter of Offer (Authority to Enrol) for enrolment purposes.
- Original or certified documents for granting of advanced standing/credit.
- Your travel documents.
- The Orientation Week program.
- Personal computer (if preferred). There is no duty/sales tax if you take your computer home when you leave Australia. Bring your receipt, if you have one, and declare the computer if it is less than 12 months old.
- Clothing: November to March are the warmest months with temperatures ranging from 17-45 degrees Celsius (average around 30 degrees). June, July and August are generally quite cold months with a temperature range of 5-20 degrees Celsius. Visit the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for more detailed weather information. For everyday wear, students favour comfortable, casual clothes. Men tend to wear jeans and shirts, with women generally choosing jeans, shirts and skirts. A waterproof warm jacket is necessary for the winter months. In summer months, lightweight shirts and shorts are favoured by most.
- Equipment: Most accommodation, except homestay, will not include cooking utensils, sheets, blankets, etc. Second hand household items are available quite cheaply, however some students may wish to bring some of their own basic items.
Please note: Electricity in Perth is 240v 50 cycles AC. Adaptors are readily available in Perth.
